How do I scan a receipt?

Tap the camera button on the home screen, point your camera at the receipt, and tap to capture. QuickExpense will automatically extract the amount, merchant, and date using AI-powered OCR.

Does QuickExpense work offline?

Yes! QuickExpense is designed to work offline. All your expense data is stored locally on your device. You can add expenses manually anytime, even without an internet connection. Receipt scanning requires an internet connection for OCR processing.

How many receipts can I scan?

The free tier includes 10 receipt scans per month. Premium subscribers get unlimited scanning.

What is the recovery phrase?

When you first open QuickExpense, a 24-word recovery phrase is automatically generated. This phrase is your identity. With cloud sync enabled (Pro feature), you can use it to restore your expenses on a new device. Keep it safe - QuickExpense cannot recover it for you.

Where is my data stored?

By default, all your expense data is stored locally on your device. We don't have access to your data unless you enable cloud sync (premium feature). See our Privacy Policy for more details.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual expenses by swiping left on them. To delete all data, go to Settings and tap "Delete All Data".

Can I export my expenses?

Yes, you can export your expenses as a CSV file from the Settings screen. This makes it easy to import your data into spreadsheet applications or accounting software.

What currencies are supported?

QuickExpense supports all major currencies. You can set your home currency in Settings. Multi-currency support with automatic conversion is available for premium subscribers.

How do I change the app theme?

Go to Settings and select your preferred theme: Light, Dark, or System (follows your device settings).
