Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the QuickExpense mobile application ("App"), provided by QuickExpense ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
2. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Billing
QuickExpense offers an auto-renewable subscription, "QuickExpense Pro — Monthly Subscription", which unlocks Pro features including encrypted cloud sync, project collaboration, and unlimited receipt OCR scans.
- Length and price: The subscription is billed monthly. The current price is shown in the App and on the App Store before purchase, in your local currency.
- Free trial: If a free trial is offered to you, it is available only to new subscribers and only once per Apple ID. After the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the standard price shown in the App, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings under "Subscriptions". Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store policies. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or any third-party services used by the App.
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of expense data and receipt images you submit to the App ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content as needed to provide the service (e.g., OCR processing of receipts and, if you opt in, end-to-end encrypted cloud sync). We do not sell Your Content.
5. Privacy
Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services for OCR processing and infrastructure. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies, as listed in our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be preserved without loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where superseded by mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence.
